KAIROS MINISTRY
Estes conducts weekly prayer and share on Saturdays from 8am to 10am in the Chow Hall. Check-in is between 7:30 and 8:00AM.. At least two volunteers must be present. We normally have coffee and lemonade available every Saturday. Committing to just one Saturday a month is a big help. Gary Marcucci is our Prayer and Share coordinator.
On the third Saturday of each month, team members attend a reunion and must be at the gate by 6:45 am in order to be processed into the unit. We normally provide cookies and donuts during reunions, as well as coffee and lemonade every Saturday. Team members must be an approved TDCJ volunteer and on the gate list. Pplease contact use two weeks in advance to make arrangements.
In order to participate in the activities above, an inside team member must be a current TDCJ volunteer and be on the Estes Kairos gatelist. You will not be allowed into the facility if not on the Gatelist.
KAIROS ESTES - ADVISORY COUNCIL (AC)
Description: The advisory Council (AC) is a group formed from the Estes Kairos community that is responsible for ensuring that the needs of the Unit, and Team are met, Those on this committee have individual responsiblities which further our effort. Examples are the Financial Secretary and Treasurer who make sure we properly account for our financial resources.
Meeting scheduling policy:
1. Face to face meetings are from 2:30 to 4:30 PM on the 3rd Sunday (at FBC Lillian unless otherwise announced) for January, April, July, and October of each year. Everyone is invited to attend.
2. Teleconference meetings on the 3rd Sunday at 4:00 PM on February, May, August, and November as needed-- these can be substituted by scheduling meetings following Team Formation meetings. Meetings will be posted on this site and invitations will be sent by email.
